EPDM
Description
EPDM has been on the market for a considerable time, and have substituted the use of chloroprene rubber in many applications. EPDM / PE are a newer group of compound materials based on ethylene-propylene and poly-ethylene.
EPDM / PE materials have excellent weather resistance, and can be regarded as an
alternative to traditional EPDM cellular rubber. EPDM / PE has higher tensile strength and better wear resistance than the pure EPDM products.
The physical as well as
mechanical characteristics of the material are good compared to other rubber
materials.
The E3955-1 cellular EPDM rubber is sulphur free and has a closed cell
structure. It has excellent weather and heat resistance, but is not regarded as
resistant to fuels and oil.
The E3965 cellular EPDM rubber has a closed cell structure and a relatively
high hardness value. It has excellent weather and heat resistance, but is not
regarded as resistant to fuels and oil.
It is a high density version of material E3955-1.
CR/NBR
Description
Cellular rubber with a closed cell structure. N3950 has a good resistance against ageing, and is resistant
against oils and a variety of solvents. Excellent weather resistance, i.e. against air, hu,idity, U.V. and ozone.
Typical use would be for sealing of joints with high dimension variation such as doors, bonnets, lids, ducts,
piping, filters etc. In general for flange joints at moderate temperatures and lower inner pressure.
Silicone
Description
S3955 is a silicone sponge rubber with closed cellular structure and skin on both surfaces.
The material has excellet heat and chemical resistance, and is delivered in roll form.
S3920 is a silicone sponge rubber with closed cellular structure.
The material has excellent heat and chemical resistance.
